Gustav Stickley No. 717 Oak Bookcase with Original Finish, Hardware, Wavy Glass

A beautiful and rare original Gustav Stickley No. 717 bookcase, first introduced in 1905. Constructed of quarter-sawn oak with original fixed shelves, divided-light wavy glass doors, what appears to be original inset casters, and retaining a ghost of its original Craftsman paper label on the back. This piece is as functional as it is collectible, and is an exceptional example of American Arts & Crafts furniture.

Condition: Shelf is in good, usable antique condition with wear consistent with over 100 years of use. Retains original finish with a warm, rich patina. Notable imperfections include: one missing pane of glass; right side key missing/partially broken off in lock; several paint drips on back and side; several larger scratches.
